In Gospell GN-1848 Multifuctional H.264 HD Encoder some ports are showing “Input format error” if i giving channels on that port. same encoder few ports working fine what can i do for this please help me becasue in 24 ports channel encoder only 4 ports are working other than showing input format error.

When you’re encountering “Input format error” on certain ports of your Gospell GN-1848 Multifunctional H.264 HD Encoder while others are functioning properly, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check Input Signal: Ensure that the input signal for the malfunctioning ports is properly connected and compatible. Verify the signal type (e.g., resolution, format) matches the encoder’s specifications.
2. Inspect Cables and Connectors: Examine the cables and connectors for any physical damage or poor connections. Replace any faulty cables if necessary.
3. Review Encoder Settings: Double-check the settings for the channels showing errors. Ensure that the input format settings (resolution, frame rate, etc.) match the input source.
4. Power Cycle the Encoder: Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve issues. Power off the encoder, wait a few seconds, and then power it back on.
5. Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your encoder. Updating to the latest firmware can resolve bugs and improve compatibility.
6. Test with Different Inputs: Try connecting a different input source to the problematic ports to determine if the issue lies with the input source or the encoder itself.
7. Check for Overload: Ensure that the encoder is not overloaded with too many simultaneous inputs. If it is, you might need to reduce the number of active channels.
8. Consult the Manual: Refer to the user manual for specific troubleshooting steps related to input format errors.
9. Contact Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, consider reaching out to Gospell’s technical support for further assistance.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and potentially resolve the input format errors on your encoder.

There are few things you can do
first needs to reset the encoder and re-configure all ports for their respecting channels then check.
Secondly there their can be hardware issue like card failure for rest ports which are not working.
also do let us know what faulty ports are showing ? any audio are coming on faulty ports ?
It showed input format error.some ports are coming audio only with black screen.
it seems to me card failure issue because sometimes in harmonic encoders also we gets this type problem where we call it hardware issue know for card failure.
also
Sometimes this type of problem we face in IRDs that is due to playing of MPEG 4 channels in MPEG 2 IRDs.
How to reset port?
you need to restore factory setting default to the complete encoder then re-configure it.
