What is FTTH passive node ? Does it really works for Cable Tv ?
FTTH passive optical nodes are useful for cable tv network. Because you need not to give AC /DC external power except the optical power. It reduces the complexity of the netwoking by not using amplifiers in filed.
you need to give optical input power between +3 to -7 to run these nodes. It provides RF output level near about 65 db from its each RF port.
Example of FTTH node is given in features image.

See Optical input power technically depends upon the Make of ONU...generally in sharpvision ONU we tested -29 is minimum input level of ONU. While some Makes have -26 minimum optical input power level. Hope that helps !!!
